Safety At Workplace

With people returning to their workplaces in full capacity, there needs to be some safety precautions in place to ensure health and hygiene for all.

  • It would be ideal for all to wear masks at work for the next few months till there is a further update from the local health authorities.
  • It is impossible to know who could be an asymptomatic carrier unless all are tested and whoever has recovered may still have viral shedding unless tested negative through medical tests, after isolation and recovery.
  • Masks should only be removed in areas which are clean, in a private space, like your own car or home or cabin.
  • Avoid group gatherings in eating spaces inside the office such as canteen or pantry. Keep windows open, if possible and ventilate the area often.
  • Workplaces should ideally have sanitization tunnels for people coming in and going out of office. They should do temperature checks at the entrance and masks should be made mandatory.
  • Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizers. Avoid touching face with unclean hands.
  • Avoid group crowding and meetings in person. Maintain social distancing, wherever possible. Clean common areas and surfaces with 0.5-1% Sodium Hypochlorite at frequent intervals.
  • Discard used masks properly, as below:
    • Disposable face masks should not be reused and should be discarded at the end of the day.
    • All masks should be discarded safely with segregation in separate bins.
